Effingham Noon Club Rotarians Wednesday learned about the Rotary Youth Leadership Activity, better known as RYLA. The event is held each year and gives high school sophomores through seniors an opportunity to work on their leadership skills and to interact with other youth. The activity is held at Allerton Park outside Monticello.
Tiffany DeSpain of Savoy is RYLA Director for Rotary District 6490, of which the Effingham Noon Club is a part. DeSpain reviewed last year's RYLA event and discussed plans for the gathering to be held this spring.
The Rotary weekly program chairman was Past District Governor and Noon Club member Ron Schettler.
