Negotiations continue on extending the athletic co-operative between the Windsor and Stewardson-Strasburg school districts.

The co-op resulted in both schools ending the use of their separate nicknames and adopting the nickname "Hatchets" in recognition of the trophy they earned when each school beat the other in head-to-head competition.

Since then, there have been concerns voiced by some regarding the co-op.

Windsor Athletic Director Silas Pogue said in a weekend e-mail that both schools are in negotiations to attempt to renew the co-op for an additional two years after the coming school year, so the co-op will be in place for the coming school year.
