Two more people filed for a seat on the Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education prior to Wednesday afternoon's deadline.
Incumbent Brian Wick filed for another term from Summit Township while challenger Laurie King filed for a term from Douglas Township.
Wick joins fellow incumbent Galen Altman and challenger James Osborn from Summit Township, while King joins challengers Steve Bone, James Keith and K.L. Cleeton from Douglas Township.
The third incumbent, Brad Meinhart, is not seeking re-election.
There are two candidates for two seats on both the Effingham Park Board and the Lake Land College Board of Trustees.
Incumbent Dennis Carie and longtime City employee Chris Huelsbusch filed for the two Park Board seats. Longtime incumbent Mike Sehy is not seeking another term.
Meanwhile, Dave Storm of Effingham and Bruce Owen of Dieterich filed for the two seats on the Lake Land board. The incumbents, Tom Niebrugge of Teutopolis and Carol Schramm of Pana, are not seeking re-election.
Election Day is April 9.
There will be a lottery Thursday at 8am in the Board offices on South Banker to see who will get the top spot on the Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education election. Galen Altman, Steve Bone and Jim Keith were all present when the filing period began earlier this month so each's name will be included in the lottery.
The lottery will begin at 8am.
