Incident at St. Elmo Post Office Resolved, No Threat to Schools

An incident at the St. Elmo Post Office Thursday afternoon quickly spurred rumors of the St. Elmo School District being placed on lockdown.
 
St. Elmo Police Chief Trent Seiler issued a statement to us this afternoon saying, "The St. Elmo Police Department would like to inform area citizens that an incident involving a local man at the St. Elmo Post Office has been resolved. The subject was located and placed in custody without incident. An rumors pertaining to the St. Elmo School District being in danger or being placed in lock-down are false."
