Stanford Chosen as Flora Mayor

Flora City Commissioner Mike Stanford was chosen as mayor by the City Council Monday.

Stanford will fill out the term of Bob Tackitt, who died recently. 

A new commissioner will be chosen soon to fill Stanford's seat on the Council. Flora officials hope that will occur by the end of March.

Tackitt was in his third term as Flora mayor.
