THS Math Team Fares Well at State Competition

The Teutopolis Math Team competed at the ICTM (Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics) state competition.

In all, there were 3180 students in four different divisions competing at the University of Illinois (in Champaign). In Division IA there were a total of 54 teams in which Teutopolis finished 4th overall.

The Algebra I team placed 3rd
The Pre-Calculus team placed 3rd
The Geometry team placed 9th
The Calculator team placed 6th
The Fr-So 2-person team placed 6th
The Fr-So Relay teams placed 5th and 9th
The Jr-Sr Relay team placed 8th

In the Pre-Calculus individuals, Andrew Vahling placed 10th and Jacob Hoelscher placed 11th.

The team is coached by Carlene Weber and Tim Bower.
