Dieterich school board members Monday heard from several community members regarding the formation of a trap shooting club.

The club would be made up of Dieterich High School students, but not a formal activity of the school. Several clubs have formed throughout the State as a way to blend competition and recreational shooting for high school-aged participants. The Board chose to gather more information and revisit the proposal at the January meeting.

The Board also approved the tax levy. The tax rate is projected to remain the same as the past year. Also approved was the annual increase package renewal with Ramza Insurance. The overall renewal is a 2.56% increase over last year's premium.

The Dieterich Board also accepted the resignation of elementary aide Angela Miller, retroactive to December 1; and discussed improvements to the baseball and softball playing surfaces, but took no action.
