Crash w/Injury in City Over the Weekend

One person was injured when vehicles collided at 200 South Henrietta during the noon hour Saturday.

The crash happened at 12:48pm when vehicles driven by 68-year-old Mark Goeckner of Effingham and 53-year-old Karen Rueter of Effingham were both attempting left-hand turns from private driveways and collided.

A passenger in Rueter's vehicle, 84-year-old Elsie Rueter of Effingham sustained injuries and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
