Hospital Presents 2017 Honors to Medical Staff and Supporters

HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital recently honored members of the hospital leadership groups and Medical Staff at its Annual Recognition Social. The event was held to thank members of the Board of Directors, various hospital committees, and the hospital Medical Staff. The 2016-17 Annual and Community Benefit Report of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Southern Illinois Division (of which St. Anthony’s is a part) was distributed at the event as well.

At the event, Theresa Rutherford, HSHS St. Anthony’s President and CEO, honored board committee members completing their terms of service. Special recognition was presented to Sister Marybeth Culnan, OSF, who was completing her service on the hospital’s Board of Directors, as she is leaving her role as Senior Vice President, Sponsorship and Governance, for HSHS. While she will continue to be involved with other ministries of the Hospital Sisters, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital presented Sister Marybeth with a Proclamation of Appreciation for her 51 years of service and contributions to HSHS, St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, and the communities served.

The hospital also honored members of the Medical Staff for their years of service to St. Anthony’s. St. Anthony’s annually recognizes all active members of the Medical Staff celebrating their tenth anniversary and subsequent anniversaries in five-year increments. Ten members of the Medical Staff were honored this year for their service. The physicians honored this year were:
