Weather-Related Crash Wednesday Morning

One person was injured in a weather-related crash in Effingham County Wednesday morning.
Sheriff's deputies report a car driven by 19-year-old Gabriel Patrick of Mattoon was traveling on US Route 45 north of Effingham at 8:05am. Patrick's southbound car hydroplaned, slid off the roadway and struck a tree.
Patrick was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No tickets were issued.
