St. Elmo school board members heard at their November meeting that the EPA is offering grants or rebates to assist school districts purchasing new school buses that are environmentally friendly.

St. Elmo Superintendent Deb Philpot said the funds could mean up to $20,000 back on a new bus purchase.  She will explore the possibility and report back to the Board.

High School Principal Brian Garrard presented to the Board a proposal to move from quarterly grading to semesters for the next school year.  There was no action on the proposal.

Grade School Principal Sean Hannagan reported on the upcoming installation of a mobile IPAD lab that could be used by all students.  The lab will be equipped with 20 IPADs.

St. Elmo board members passed the tax levy for the coming fiscal year.  In personnel moves, the Board accepted Logan Mahon's resignation as 5th and 6th grade assistant basketball coach and hired Zeke Asher to succeed him.
