North Clay school board members Tuesday heard from residents about possible transportation for co-op sports with the Clay City district.

The parents favored transportation to be provided for junior high softball players going to Clay City for practices and competition. The Board directed the administration to pursue the matter to whether transportation costs could be covered by the Sports Boosters or through some other method of funding. More information should be available at the Board's regular monthly meeting next week.

In personnel action, the North Clay board accepted the resignation of Whitney Hill as music and band teacher, then hired Grace Majors as music and band teacher for the coming school year; accepted the resignation of Jennifer Sparlin as cook and part-time custodian; hired Belinda Bridges as part-time custodian; hired Julie Jones as cook; hired Kari Deadmond as junior high assistant volleyball coach and interim high school assistant volleyball coach; hired Crystal Ballard as volunteer girls junior high basketball coach; and approved advertising for an elementary teacher and granting the administration authority to hire some for that position.

The Board also met new Agriculture teacher Katrina VanDyke.
