Effingham Water Authority trustees were approached at this week's meeting by members of the Good Neighbors of Lake Sara, who asked for a donation toward the cost of the annual fireworks display at the lake.

Board members decided to refer to the amount given last year and will finalize their donation at the June meeting.

Barry Martin addressed the trustees in regards to a neighboring property that he would like cleaned up. The Board will be sending a letter to the resident.

The Board signed into effect an ordinance governing touchless boat covers at Lake Sara.

Trustees also discussed the use of engine-propelled surfboards on the lake. They did offer the owner of one of the boards a chance to speak at a future meeting about the matter.
