The resentencing of Clifford Baker in Fayette County is set for April.

Baker is the Loogootee native convicted in 2011 of the murders of Mike Mahon and Deb Tish in their Loogootee home. He was sentenced to natural life in prison without possibility of parole.

Baker was 15 at the time of the murders. The US Supreme Court later ruled that life without possibility of parole for a defendant under age 18 is unconstitutional, so Baker's sentence was thrown out. His convictions for the murders still stand and he remains in prison.

During a telephone conference call Thursday, attorneys for both sides agreed to hold the resentencing hearing at 9am on April 3.

Fayette County State's Attorney Josh Morrison has indicated previously that he plans to still seek a life sentence for Baker.
