A car and semi collided Monday morning on I-70 outside Casey.

The crash happened at 9:55am. State police report a car driven by 21-year-old Frenjy Fabian of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania was headed west when the car drifted left off the roadway into the median.

The car came back onto the roadway, spun sideways and traveled sideways across the driving lane. A following semi driven by 29-year-old Justin Kachuba of Newburgh, Indiana, could not stop in time and struck Fabian's car. Both units ended up in a ditch.

Fabian and two passengers from outside the area were injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Fabian was cited for improper lane usage.
