Teutopolis village board members have agreed to contribute local funds in hopes of landing a state grant for an expansion at Farmweld.

The plant, located on the east edge of the village, would receive water and sewer service in exchange for annexing into the village as part of the expansion project.

The Village Board agreed to allocate $72,000 as a match for the state block grant being sought by Farmweld.

The Board also made the initial pay estimate of just over $60,000 for work on the Oak Street improvement project. Board members also set Trick or Treat in Teutopolis for Friday, October 28 from 6:30 to 8pm.
