City Police Investigating Weekend Thefts

Effingham City Police are investigating several thefts, including an auto theft.

A 2007 Cadillac Escalade valued at $10,000 was stolen while parked at 1701 West Evergreen at about 8:21pm Friday.

The vehicle was later recovered at 205 North Keller Drive. An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from a purse inside the vehicle.

A retail theft occurred at Kay Jewelers at 1602 Ford Avenue at approximately 12:13pm Saturday.

Stolen was a necklace valued at $3,399 and a bracelet valued at $2,938.99.

A residential burglary occurred in the 1000 block of Northwood Thursday between 6pm and midnight.

A watch was stolen, along with Beats headphones and an undetermined amount of cash.
