The Cross Foundation and The Cross at the Crossroads will host a free event on Sunday, September 11, in honor of its 15th anniversary. The event is scheduled from 1:00-3:00pm on the grounds at the Cross, and the public is invited.

Free refreshments will be served starting at 1:00pm, including cookies, soda, and water compliments of Martin’s IGA, along with frozen custard compliments of Culver’s. An ecumenical prayer service will be held from 1:15-1:30pm, and will be led by Pastor Roger Marshall. In addition to the prayer service, guests will also receive an update on the future site plans for the Cross campus, which includes life-sized statues depicting various aspects of Jesus’ life, a walking path, and a band shell.

Live music is scheduled from 1:30-3:00pm, featuring local musician Scott Wattles, who will sing a variety of gospel favorites while sharing personal stories about his walk in faith. A balloon release will take place at approximately 2:15pm, with guests able to release a balloon along with a personal prayer, message, or memory of a loved one.

Guests are encouraged to visit The Cross Foundation Welcome Tent from 1:00-3:00pm to pick up a free gift, reserve their balloon, and to learn more about The Cross at the Crossroads. Parking will be available at The Cross and at Beck’s Seeds. Carpooling is encouraged. Tax-deductible donations will be accepted during the event to assist with future plans for the Cross campus.
