Thomas “Tom” A. Hodgkin, age 60, of Mason, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Norton King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
Tom’s wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Edgewood American Legion.
Tom was born on July 31, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Howard A. Hodgkin and Laura Dilbeck-Berge. He was an incredible brother, friend, father, and wholeheartedly enjoyed being a grandfather. Tom worked in the oilfields for 30+ years. He was a hard worker and loved his family to his fullest capacity. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him, especially his family. “I will not give up, I will embrace my life and absolutely nothing will stop me, not even Huntington’s Disease” – Tom (And that he did)
He is survived by his sons, Zachary Hodgkin and Wyatt Hodgkin, both of Mason; daughter, Natasha Smith (husband Dustin) of Iola; sister, Mary Atteberry (husband Curt) of Neoga; best friend, Tonya Hodgkin of Mason; and four grandchildren, Landynn, Izzak, Waylon, and Avalyn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Hodgkin; mother, Laura Dilbeck-Berge; step-father, Earnest “Jack” Berge; baby brother, Carl Eugene; grandmother, Mary Burton; and several aunts and uncles.
