In an effort to establish an initial damage assessment of the recent heavy rains and flooding, Effingham County Emergency Management Agency is asking for information from citizens who have suffered storm or flood damage beginning on December 23, 2015.

The assessment applies to residents of Effingham County who have suffered uninsured storm or flood damage. This information is required in order to accurately analyze the extent of damage in the county. Any individual who has had uninsured personal property damaged as a result of the recent storms may report the damage to the Effingham County Emergency Management Agency by e-mail: ema@co.effingham.il.us or by leaving a voicemail message at 217-540-1669.

Here's the information needed: name, mailing address, address of damage, type of structure (single family home, apartment, business, etc), if you own or rent the property damaged, depth of flooding in inches in basement or ground floor, and if it was in a living area, any structural damage, and your phone number.
