The Effingham observance of the 2015 National Day of Prayer will be on a Wednesday this year.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at the Keller Convention Center. Activities will begin at 7:30am and will feature music and worship led by Pastor Tony Munoz and a presentation by former Unit 40 teacher and coach Tom Fish.

Admission to the event, which will include a breakfast meal, is free. However, those attending need to pick up a ticket so there will be an accurate head count as far as meals to provide. Tickets are available at the WXEF/KJ Country studios at Fayette and Willow, and at the Tom Henderson State Farm Insurance office at 3rd and Section downtown.
