A Cowden man has been arrested after an incident Friday night at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Effingham city police arrested 19-year-old Sidney V. Glick after an altercation in the hospital. Reportedly, Glick became upset while visiting with a female patient about 8pm Friday. The man allegedly briefly restrained the woman, and then pushed her down on a hospital bed. He then reportedly fled on foot, as the woman called out for assistance.
Authorities apprehended Glick as he was walking along Illinois 32/33 in Effingham. He has been charged preliminarily with domestic battery.
Judge Kimberly Koester set bond for Glick Sunday night in the amount of $20,000. If he bonds out, Glick must have no contact with the reported victim, and must not enter hospital grounds.
Glick is being held in Effingham County Jail.
