Another Scam; This One's on the Internet

Local resident John Guthrie wants you to be aware of a scam circulating, this time on the Internet.

John said the scam involves a message that you are a big winner, but you need to pay upfront costs to make it happen, and then they ask for your credit card information. They allege you need to "pay the IRS" for their share of your winnings, and to send your information to PCH.com. PCH does not stand for Publishers Clearing House, though.

Guthrie said, "Don't send information. It's a scam".
