Local right to life supporters have announced the start of fundraising for a new home for the Silk Purse Thrift Store.

Described as a "fundraising/friendraising campaign", the first event will feature a dinner at the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Hall. The dinner will be held from 3 to 7pm on April 12. Tickets will be pre-sold for a catered meal. There will be a large and small raffle, as well as an hourly 50/50 drawing. Tickets will be available through the Family Life Center and at the door.

The event was announced at the March Prayer Vigil for Life. Those present heard a report from Blake Probst, Evan Kuhl and Megan Probst who are members of St. Isidore Parish at Bishop Creek. They shared information on the January March for Life. The 42nd annual March was held in Washington, DC.

Those gathered at the meeting took action to contact elected officials on pending pieces of legislation.
