First Distribution of Property Tax Revenue Today

The first distribution of Effingham County property tax revenue was made today.

An amount of $22,029,156.93 was made by direct deposit.

The five largest distributions were made to Effingham Unit 40 School District--$7,151,331.32; Teutopolis Unit 50 School District--$2,044,905.03; Effingham County--$1,932,863.10; City of Effingham--$1,712,050.57; and Lake Land College--$1,566,447.78.

The smallest distribution went to St. Elmo Unit 202 School District--$113.54. 

The second installment of Effingham County property tax is due Friday, October 12.  Taxes may be paid at any bank in the county, mailed, paid online, or at the Treasurer's Office located on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building downtown at Jefferson and 4th.
