Three Ramsey residents were injured in a crash in Fayette County Thursday.

Illinois State Police say a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Shirley Tuttle of Ramsey was following a slow-moving tractor on US 51 north of Vandalia when a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Dion Mulcahy of Greenville, Kentucky came up behind Tuttle's vehicle. Mulcahy's vehicle could not stop in time and rear-ended the Tuttle vehicle.

Tuttle was injured as were two passengers in her vehicle, 19-year-old Dustin Carroll and nine-month-old Quintin Carroll, also of Ramsey and all three were taken to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia for treatment.

Police cited Mulcahy for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
