Police are boosting their patrols over the Halloween weekend. They'll be keeping an eye out for drivers who aren't strapped in and those who are behind the wheel drunk.

Anyone who plans on drinking at or after Halloween events should be sure to scheduled a designated driver. The idea is to keep the roads safe and cut down on crash-related deaths.

More than 760 people have been killed on Illinois roadways this year.
