The case of Richard Marshcke has been continued to December.

The 32-year-old Vandalia man is charged with drug induced homicide for allegedly providing the heroin that led to the death of an Altamont man early this year.

Defense attorney Bill Hoffeditz Wednesday asked for the continuance, and there was no objection from prosecutors to the request.

A pre-trial hearing for Marschke was scheduled for December 8. No trial date has been set.

Marshcke remains in jail under $1 million bond.
