The next in the series of Community Celebration of Excellence breakfasts is scheduled for Beecher City.

The breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 at Beecher City High School. Doors will open at 7am; the breakfast will run from 7:30-9:30am. Tickets are $15 per attendee, and $5 of each ticket sold benefits scholarships for Beecher City High School students. Tickets are available at the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce office on Keller Drive in Effingham and at First State Bank of Beecher City.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Edwin Dunteman, Director and President of A&A Pain Institute of St. Louis. Dr. Dunteman's life journey began on a dairy, beef and grain farm in rural Shumway. Graduating from Beecher City High School, he attributes what he learned there...the importance of relationships and small classes, as well as the curiosity for learning and self-confidence...to his success. Dr. Dunteman is the author of multiple medical articles and abstracts, a primary investigator on clnical trials, an international lecturer and serves on numerous international advisory boards. His research and writing led him to specializing in pain management and collaborating with other pioneers in pain medicine.

There are a variety of sponsors for the Community Celebration of Excellence breakfasts, including 979XFM and KJ Country 102.3. For more information, contact Effingham County Chamber of Commerce at 342-4147 or email: chamber@effinghamchamber.org.
