Four Injured in Sunday Night Crash

Four people were injured in a Sunday night crash in Effingham.

City police say the crash occurred at Banker and Fayette at 9:14pm when vehicles driven by 45-year-old Thomas Johnson of Edgewood and 61-year-old Michael Nichols of Flora collided.

Johnson was injured along with two passengers in his vehicle, 58-year-old Jeff Meyers of Mason and 46-year-old Christopher Simple of Effingham, and a passenger in Nichols' vehicle, 13-year-old Avy Nichols of Flora. Meyers refused treatment, but Simple, Avy Nichols and Johnson were transported to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
