October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Effingham Noon Rotary Club member and local surgeon Ruben Boyajian presented information on breast cancer awareness (in both men and women) and various treatment options to Noon Rotarians at their meeting October 1.

The presentation was in conjunction with Marilyn Boone, Ashley Davis and Brittany Wermert of the St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Women's Wellness Center. Boone, Davis and Wermert shared their duties through the Wellness Center and what other services are offered.

Nate Schmidt served as the Rotary weekly student guest. He is the son of Bill and Sue Schmidt and is a senior at St. Anthony High School.
