Small Fire Does Minimal Damage at Rodeway Inn

Effingham firefighters were called early Friday afternoon to Rodeway Inn on Keller Drive where a small fire did some damage.

The fire damaged an outside entryway on a building behind the main hotel building. The structure houses some apartment units.

Firefighters say the burn pattern from the bottom to the top indicates a lighted cigarette butt could have been the cause of the fire, but that has not been established. No one was injured.
