Yard Waste Disposal Site Underway in Teutopolis

The Village of Teutopolis has begun offering a disposal opportunity for village residents wanting to get rid of yard waste.

Residents can take yard waste to the village maintenance building at 413 North Main on the first and third Saturday morning of each month from April through November. Items can be taken there from 8am to noon.

Village Clerk Sharon Will said the site, which is staffed by a village employee, was open for the first time this past Saturday. Will said the site will also be open on October 4 and 18 and on November 1 and 15.

Village Board members have also set Trick or Treat for this year on Halloween evening, October 31 following the Lions Club Parade, roughly from 6:30 to 8pm.

The Board has also sworn in Reta Swingler as the new Village Treasurer.
