Teutopolis Board of Education Meeting

The Teutopolis Unit 50 Board of Education meeting was held Monday evening. The Board set the budget hearing for Monday, September 17 at 7:15 p.m. in the Unit Office.
The board accepted resignations from Terry Kimpling as junior varsity girls tennis coach, Wade Koester as freshman/sophomore boys basketball coach and Teutopolis Junior High School track coach and Jennifer Goeckner as seventh-grade boys track coach.
The Board hired Debbie Stephens as JV girls tennis coach, Tom Aldrich as frosh/soph fall baseball coach, Barb Weber as Teutopolis Grade School secretary, moved Linda Bergfeld to head cook at TJHS and Lora Repking as three-hour cook at TJHS. The Board approved the recall of a non-certified employee and hired Haley White as a five-hour cook at TGS. The Board approved Terry Kimpling as a volunteer to help with the girls tennis program.
The Board approved a resolution to continue with the hazardous bus routes that currently exist, this is routine. The Board approved the Certificate of Substantial Completion and the Application for Occupancy Permit for work on the THS band room.
The Board approved the tentative budget for the 2012-13 year and approved to accept the insurance renewal, which increased $8,500.
The Board approved a resolution supporting a petition for detachment of territory from Neoga Unit 3 and annexation of territory to Teutopolis Unit 50, followed by approval of a petition for detachment of territory from Teutopolis Unit 50 and annexation of territory to Neoga Unit 3.
