Altamont Teen Injured in Farming Accident

An Altamont Community High School senior was injured over the weekend in a farming accident.

17-year-old Andrew Walk is a patient at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after losing part of his left arm in an accident involving an auger. The incident happened late Saturday afternoon on the Dan Burrow farm. 

Reports indicate that Walk was to undergo a second surgery today. It's hoped he'll be released later this week.
