Today is the final day of the 2014 Effingham County Fair.

It's Kids and Teens Day sponsored by Effingham County school resource officers.

CW Motorsports of Effingham is sponsoring an ATV pull at 2pm. It's a $12 armband day for midway rides between 1:30 and 5pm, and back to regular prices after 5:45pm.

The feature evening attraction is the traditional fair-ender, the demolition derby at 6:30pm, joined this year by lawn mower soccer. Admissionis $20 to the infield and $15 to the grandstand.

Last night's switch of the Tyler Farr and Drew Baldridge shows to Altamont Community High School didn't take any of the luster off the performances. The Fair Board set up a free shuttle service between the fairgrounds and the high school and offered free gate admission to the fairgrounds. Reports were good from the concerts, and Drew Baldridge apparently made several new fans among the teenage girls in attendance.

Slant 6, a rockabilly band from the Bethany area, will perform on the Free Stage tonight from 5 to 7pm.

A reminder that our final report on 4-H judging at this year's fair will be heard Monday at 8:45am on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.
