Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Effingham shortly after 5pm Monday.

City police say the crash occurred east of the intersection of Fayette and Walnut. A vehicle driven by 27-year-old Ashley Hubbard of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Lindsey Ruholl of Dieterich, causing Ruholl to rear-end the vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jason House of Shelbyville.

Hubbard and her eight-year-old passenger, Alana Jackson of Effingham were injured, but refused treatment. Hubbard was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
