Two Crashes w/Injuries on I-70 Thursday

Two crashes involving injuries occurred Thursday afternoon on I-70 in Cumberland County.

At 2:35pm, a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Cynthia Albright of Lewisville, Texas was passing a semi when the semi began to change lanes, forcing Albright to steer off the roadway. When she tried to come back onto the roadway, Albright lost control of her vehicle, which rolled off the road into the median. The incident occurred seven miles east of Montrose.

Albright was injured and was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

At 2:57pm, a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Ricardo Aguilar of San Antonio, Texas ran off the road into the median, then came back onto the roadway, and then rolled back into the median.

Aguilar's passenger, 52-year-old Norma Rodriguez of San Antonio, was injured and was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment.

Aguilar was cited for improper lane usage. The crash occurred a mile east of Greenup.
