Aspiring authors as well as those who have already published books are invited to register now to join Jill Mettendorf, Senior Publishing Consultant with Mira Books, and Johnna Schultz, Adult Services Manager, to learn how to best market their books in their community as well as online, in this 2 hour program, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 9.

Authors will have the opportunity to learn how to best sell more books by promoting their books in a variety of settings and to more than one audience.

Jill Mettendorf has worked in book publishing and marketing for 7 years. In this time, she has worked with and talked to thousands of authors.  This knowledge has grown into a vast consulting base for self-publishing authors. Before her career in publishing began, Jill studied Visual Communications at the Illinois Institute of Art.  She, too, is an author - publishing blog articles about self-publishing on a regular basis, and also recently releasing her first book, Real Answers Real Authors.

As Jill explains:  "All authors approach self-publishing with their own agenda and expertise. I really enjoy talking to each author and providing insight on what they need to do to keep moving forward and receive the finished product they worked so hard for."

Registration is required for this event; for further information call the library at 217-342-2464 x3, email  hmlib@effinghamlibrary.org or go online at www.effinghamlibrary.org
