Three people were arrested in Effingham after allegedly giving unlicensed massages.

61-year-old Song Kim of Clarksville, Tennessee, 60-year-old Young Conners of Clarksville, Tennessee, and 56-year-old Yong Kim of San Francisco, California were each arrested on a charge of practicing massage without a license. City police detective Tony Stephens said the arrests were made Friday at Star Spa on Keller Drive in Effingham. Star Spa is where a woman was arrested recently on a charge of prostitution.

Stephens said authorities noticed the lights were back on in the establishment. When police checked, they found the three suspects who admitted they had been giving massages and said they were not licensed. That's when the arrests occurred.

Stephens said practicing massage without a license is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail.
