A Brownstown man is headed for prison after pleading guilty to theft.
22-year-old Justin P. Fields pleaded guilty to theft over $500, a Class 3 felony. Judge Marc Kelly sentenced Fields to four years in prison. He was also fined $5,000 and was ordered to pay restitution.
Fields was sentenced for the theft of silver coins that occurred in mid-April.
Fields also pleaded guilty to theft under $500 on a separate incident that occurred in early December, and admitted to the revocation of his probation on a previous underlying charge of theft under $500.
