Greg Sapp was arrested today . . . by the Keystone Kops. The group arrived at the studios of Premier Broadcasting before 7 a.m. today.

After leisurely eating donuts in the parking lot while chatting, the Kops finally decided to make their move and headed into the WXEF studio.

They surrounded Sapp and proceeded to read off the list of charges brought against the long-time radio announcer including wearing too much red instead of blue and gold. Additional charges were thrown at Sapp by his associate George Flexter and those included the overuse of the saying, "Word to the wise", the practice of going five minutes overtime on everything, not knowing there are other restaurants besides McDonalds outside of town, always driving too fast for conditions especially when it's pouring rain and the practice of making everyone wait for him all the time.

An additional charge was hurled at Sapp by Betty Schmidt busting him for wearing a St. Anthony shirt at Fast Stop.

Dave Zerrusen guided the operation along with Senior Kops Bob Zerrusen, Greg Addis, Kyle Jansen and Brett McMahon and Junior Kop Rich Borries.

Sapp will be arraigned this Friday evening in Kangaroo Court at the former Society Hall parking lot in T-Town at 7 p.m. When asked about the charges, Sapp commented, "No comment."

The Keystone Kops are part of the Terquasquicentennial celebration now going on in Teutopolis for their 175th anniversary, which runs from July 26 through August 3.
