Work continues to recover after our studios were struck by a lightning bolt Monday afternoon.

The biggest blow is that KJ Country 102.3 is still off the air. We had hoped to be back on the air Tuesday evening, but the process of identifying just what needed repaired or replaced has taken longer than first thought. We are hopeful KJ Country will be back up and running later today.

Crews are still working to get things such as computers and equipment to put phone calls on the air repaired or replaced and we have learned that our fax machine was also damaged so, if you faxed us since Monday afternoon, your message likely did not get through. One thing we learned during previous dealings with lightning is that not only are devices zapped at the time of the lightning, but others are weakened and give out later. We might be experiencing some of that situation with the fax machine.

We appreciate your patience.
