Two people were injured in a collision Sunday on I-57/70 at the Fayette Avenue interchange.

State police say a vehicle driven by 53-year-old George Holt of Charleston changed lanes into the path of a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Janice Marlow of Marion in an attempt to use a median turnaround. The Marlow vehicle struck the Holt unit, which spun into the median area.

George Holt and his passenger, 79-year-old Elaine Holt of Charleston, were injured and were taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

George Holt was cited for improper lane usage.
