Wounds in Stewardson Incident Possibly Self-Inflicted

Shelby County authorities say the wounds received by two people in an incident Thursday evening in Stewardson were possibly self-inflicted.

Details are sketchy, but the incident occurred around 5:30pm Thursday at a residence on the east side of the village.  Reports indicate that two people were taken from the scene by ambulance crews.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Department said Friday morning that no one is being sought in the incident, and the wounds received were inflicted by at least one of the people involved.

Shelby County officials say the Stewardson Police Department handled the incident.  Deputies say they have attempted to contact the Stewardson officer, but have not received a reply.
