United Way of Effingham County met Tuesday with three local businesses that were selected to “lead” the Pacesetter Companies.
Pacesetter Companies are businesses that conduct an employee campaign, make a company donation, and attend the United Way Gala.
United Way Board of Directors selected these three local businesses, ranging in size from small to large employers. These businesses include St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Stevens Industries and First National Bank of Dieterich. United Way of Effingham County will spotlight these local businesses and provide updates to the community on how their campaign is going, as well as share ideas from these businesses on how to conduct a successful campaign. These three businesses will speak to other businesses interested in conducting an employee campaign at the upcoming United Way Kick-Off Luncheon Meeting. The Kick-Off meeting will be held on August 28th beginning at Noon at the Effingham Knights of Columbus Building.
Businesses interested in attending this informational meeting or conducting an employee campaign should contact Linda Hemmen at the United Way of Effingham County office at (217) 342-3824, or Mel Stock, Campaign Chairman at (217) 342-5740.
