Birthday Club Wins Neoga Trivia Contest

The Birthday Club won the Fifth Annual Neoga Trivia Night.

Neoga Booster Club's Fifth Annual Trivia Night was a huge success, as the contest raised almost $5,000 from concessions, merchandise and cash donations. A special thank you goes out to Lorenz Wholesale Co. for their $2,500 donation. Thanks to Brian and Sara Titus family. All proceeds go toward Neoga's track.

There were 27 teams who played. First place went to "Birthday Club."  Team members are Adam Hall, Patti Niehaus, Wayne Charles Nichaus, Jr., Brian Wells, Mary Jane Mattix, Phillip Mattix, Shelley Niehaus and Amy Henson.

There was a tie for second place. Taking second place, by estimating their final score,  was "Cotton Pickin' Finger Lickin' Chicken Pluckers." Team members are Lynn Breer, Helen Broeringmeyer, Marilynn Heuerman, Valerie Broeringmeyer, Kay Breer, Cory Loew, Bill Macklin and Missy Carter.

Third place finishers were the "Whiz Kids." Team members are Kimberly Tarrant, Jackson Adams, Bill Grimes, Andrea Rennels, Millie Lange and  Mary Holle.

Donna Flake, Tim and Lisa Mueller were recognized by the Booster Club for their time and expertise on running the Booster Club's Frozen 5K race on New Year's eve.

Angie Worthey won the half time Head and Tails game.

Door prizes went to Dave Sudkamp, Ed Walk, Gwen Hackman, Misty Williamson (Neoga IGA), Troy Hoene, Jerry Shumaker (Subway),  Aaron Kline, Brad Eaton (Villa on 45), Samantha Lewis (Neoga Package Liquor Store) and Charles Lewis (Casey's).

Samantha Lewis from Bourbonnais and Chris Trummer Indianapolis, Ind. won a prize for traveling the farthest.
