Neoga school board members acted on some personnel matters at this month's meeting.
The Board hired Daniel Marsh and Amy Rigney as teachers for the coming school year, and also employed Marsh as junior high boys track coach, junior assistant boys baseball coach and Future Teachers sponsor.
Board members also directed Superintendent Charles Castle to advertise and hire on a temporary basis any positions that become open from resignations for the coming school year, and approved the salaries for non-certified employees. The Board also approved extra-curricular assignments as presented.
The Neoga board approved the modified fee schedule, and heard a report on use of phones as opposed to two-way radios at the middle school. Castle said the phones have been tested and work well in different areas of the building, playgrounds and buses.
Several matters were up for discussion by board members. They include whether to enter into any athletic co-ops, whether to allow school facilities for a prayer meeting on Augutst 26; the junior high baseball field; the geothermal system with which the district seems to be having serious injuries; and the new school district website.
